Charles Upton, also known affectionately as Sidi Akram, is the most articulate, eloquent, and erudite person that I have the privilege of knowing. He is, in my mind, one of the foremost philosophers of our day and age and one of its finest poets. It is with great sadness that I learned that my friend, colleague, mentor, elder, and advisor, who is a spiritual authority in his own right, has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
